Local market closes higher on US gains

The All Ordinaries added 0.9 per cent to close back above the 5,000 mark at 5,007 while the ASX 200 index matched that rise to finish on 4,995. Mining stocks also lifted the market as Rio Tinto gained 1.6 per cent to close at $57.82 and Fortescue Metals gained 4.5 per cent.
