Long Beach to convene meeting to discuss trucking, port issues

The ongoing debate over whether port truckers should work as independent contractors or full-fledged employees is set to continue during an upcoming Long Beach committee meeting. Representatives of the Harbor Trucking Association and Teamsters union are both set to participate in the next meeting of the city's Tidelands and Harbor Committee .
