KWGN: Loveland voters rejected a proposed two-year moratorium on hydraulic fracturing, also known as fracking, Tuesday, according to unofficial election results.
In a press release, the City of Loveland said the measure to impose a two-year stay against the controversial process of forcing water, sand and chemicals deep into the earth to extract oil and gas was struck down by nearly a 1,000 vote margin - 10,844 votes were casted in opposition of the ban and 9,942 voted in favor.
