Lowell man pleads guilty to manslaughter in 2004 shooting

A 35-year-old Lowell man who got out of a life sentence when his second-degree murder conviction was overturned in 2013 was sentenced to 19 years in prison on Tuesday after pleading to manslaughter. Daniel Kung, of Lowell, was sentenced to 19 years to 19 years and one day in prison by Judge Kenneth Salinger, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said in a press release.
