Lowell's TRC to build new electric substation in R.I.

TRC Companies Inc., a provider of engineering and construction-management services based in the Wannalancit Mills, said Thursday that it won a contract to build a new electric substation in downtown Providence, R.I. The substation will replace National Grid's existing South Street Station, TRC officials said in a press release. It will support National Grid's customers, including the City of Providence and much of the downtown Providence area.
