M&A volume drops in Columbus region, plus Top 10 deals

Fewer Columbus-area companies were involved in mergers and acquisitions in 2014 and collective deal value fell below $2 billion for the first time in at least eight years, but two huge pending transactions have 2015 set up for a bounce back. There were 111 completed deals in which at least one company was located in Central Ohio, down 8 percent from 120 a year earlier and the lowest tally since 103 were made in 2011, according to data provided exclusively for Columbus Business First by Innovation Forward LLC.
