MTA to roll out 2,000-plus new buses with free WiFi

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority will be rolling out more than 2,000 new state-of-the-art buses over the next five years, equipped with free WiFi, USB charging ports and LCD information screens. Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that 2,042 buses, about 40 percent of the MTA's current fleet, will be replaced with a $1.3 billion investment of Capital Program resources.
