This vacancy note concerns an onsite consulting position at EUMETSAT in Darmstadt, Germany. MTG Ground Segment System Engineering Consultancy DEEUM13001 Job Description The MTG Ground Segment System Engineer will support ground segmentrelated activities for the phase CD of the MTG programme. The duties range from specification, analysis, design, build, deployment and subsequent verification of the ground segment, consisting of the data acquisition systems, monitoring and control systems, data processing and archiving facilities, product dissemination facilities and the encompassing network elements. Required Skills and Experience The MTG Ground Segment System Engineer shall have the following experience and background University degree or equivalent in the domain of engineering or science 5 years of experience in engineering of spacerelated ground systems, including Networking Communications, Ground Stations, Near RealTime Data Processing, Monitoring and control of satellites, Monitoring and control of ground systems Experience in endtoend system analyses Experience in preparation of system requirements and design documentation Experience in the integration and verification of such systems. Good communication and technical documentation skills Fluency in English and good knowledge of French. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in data archive, retrieval and data dissemination systems Experience in management and traceability of complex requirements structure in DOORS Experience in the use of modeling and design tools e.g. Enterprise Architect Experience in software engineering Experience in configuration control processes and tools Knowledge of ECSS standards.
