MWV Rigesa announces 7% price hike on kraftliner and 10% on corrugated board in Brazil

MeadWestvaco Rigesa has announced a 7% price increase on its kraftliner paper and a 10% hike on its corrugated board products in the Brazilian market, effective in March. According to the company, the adjustments are due to the high inflation rate in the country at the beginning of this year, as well as increasing labor, energy and fuel costs, and higher prices for inputs which are usually impacted by the currency exchange rate, such as timber and chemicals.
