Man who shut down gambling asks: If sheriffs and DA's don't enforce laws who will? The answer is... John Tyson, the man who commanded Gov. Bob Riley's task force on illegal gambling and who in some cases had to fight county sheriffs, district attorneys and judges to shut down electronic bingo operations says Gov. Robert Bentley is right when he says this: "The responsibility for enforcement of Alabama's criminal laws most properly lies with the elected sheriffs and district attorneys of each county..." That quote is found in a new executive order Bentley issued Thursday which rescinded the very first executive order he issued as governor almost five years ago.
