Manager, Governments Institutions Ref SES0318 Region Europe Location Luxembourg Betzdorf Company SES Category Business Dev. Strategic Management Position Staff Context The position will be based in Luxembourg or The Hague The Manager contributes to or leads the efforts done by the Governments Institutions team in lobbying, development, and presales activities related to governmental and institutional projects Specifically, the Manager is leading and supporting the initial assessment of a given opportunity by providing adequate feasibility analysis on the basis of interactions with internal departments andor external parties, and contributing relevant elements to the setup of the documentation package needed in the process, i.e. internal assessment for GONO GO decision, setup of SES answer to customer SES proposal in answer to RFP, unsolicited offer, The Manager is responsible for the project implementation and aftersales management, and this in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders Responsibilities Enabler to generate revenues and backlog for the SES group in the GI area Actively leading the commercial and technical Project Management for offerings around hosted payloads and other satellite related projects and endtoend solutions Assist in the development of full satellite program solutions e.g. defense programs In relation to the institutional and governmental market domain, and depending on project size and complexity, lead the implementation of projects from A to Z. This includes the coordination of multidisciplinary project teams or subsets thereof for delivery according to set objectives and schedule. project reporting documentation and presentations, tender processes as required, and participating in selected exhibitions, trade shows and conferences, etc. Effective coordination and liaison throughout various departments within a very complex field of internal stakeholders Experience Qualifications Minimum of 5 years work experience with at least 3 years experience in the Satellite Telecommunications or Data Communications Industry, ideally in connection with governments or public institutions Engineering Degree Extensive and proven Project Management skills within a complex environment Experience with and solid understanding of business case related financials Fluency in English the knowledge of other languages is considered an additional asset NATO andor EU security clearance is required or should be obtained Excellent and proven Project Management skills with focus on execution and implementation Ability to communicate and drive results at all levels of the organization Good analytical and communication presentation skills Be a proactive team player with strong relationship building qualities and the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines Understanding the market dynamics and technological drivers in the Government and Defence sector, and help formulate the consequential innovation development strategies Ability to identify and effectively implement change and solve problems Strong organisational sensitivity Our Offer Competitive salary package, coupled with a diverse array of challenges and development benefits.
