Your Job The ManagerSenior Manager, Spectrum Monitoring Systems is responsible for leading a team in the design, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of SESs Global Carrier Monitoring System CSM. The incumbent will participate in specifying the requirements for future operational systems, lead the development of operational and system requirements, liaise with vendors and SES Technology teams for maintenance and upgrades, coordinating site installation and testing as required. The appointee will support other projects and activities affecting CSD operations in order to provide the highest quality systems and services for SESs operational teams, coordinating and assisting with the development and delivery of operational training, procedures and best practices to operations staff. The incumbent will identify process and system improvements that assist the operational teams in enhancing customer services, and work with SES groups or vendors to achieve the identified improvements. The ManagerSenior Manager ensures the operational systems under his responsibility provide a high level of customer support and meet all service assurance and provisioning requirements in accordance with agreed KPIs, leading to the delivery of best in class services across SESs global satellite network. Your Responsibilities Management of the configuration, upgrade, systems administration, inventory, and critical operational data, necessary to maintain highest availability, accuracy and consistency of the CSM measurement systems Maintain the highest level of operational and technical knowledge of the communications monitoring systems in order to act as a systems expert in supporting 247 operations Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of operational systems used by the operations centers, developing and maintaining KPIs Evaluate, test, deploy, and maintain custom and thirdparty software applications which are used solely for operations Oversee the development of training material, operating procedures, and troubleshooting procedures, related to monitoring systems or other system tools, and provide tuitiontraining to the 24x7 operational teams, and to other groups across the organisation Liaise with Engineering departments for the specification, design, development, testing and acceptance of new hardware and software systems Participate in vendor meetings and negotiations, related to system and service development, upgrade, operations and maintenance assist with evaluation of vendor services and equipment Your Profile An engineering degree or equivalent academicprofessional qualifications At least 15 years of professional experience within a payload operations, satellite engineering or managed service environment, with a background in technical operations management A track record of managing and motivating a team of engineering and operational experts, collegially operating at senior staff levels and across departments Demonstrated management skills in a multicultural environment Managing complex global projects, involving crossfunctional teams, 3rd party vendors and subcontractors Strong customer focus Selfdriven innovative mindset High level of technical knowledge in satellite communications systems and service monitoring platforms, specifically the Kratos Monics platform and associated products Demonstrable analytical skills with a strong aptitude for a systems approach to problem solving Objective, rational and multidisciplinary thinking Willing to support 247365 operations, providing out of hours support as necessary Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills in English. Ability to schedule and coordinate complex operational tasks and projects Strong people management skills We Offer You A diverse workplace.
