Manufacturing sector proves hazardous

Five Manawatu companies have been convicted under the Health and Safety Act 1992 in the past five years, information released under the Official Information Act shows. The most recent incident was in 2014, when Idea Services was convicted after a 15-year-old drowned while under Idea's care.
