Market flat despite gains in energy sector

A rise of almost five per cent in oil prices pushed the major energy companies and the wider market higher when trade began. By 1200 AEDT, Origin Energy's gain was a more modest seven cents to $5.09, while Woodside Petroleum was up 15 cents at $26.98 and Santos was six cents higher at $3.85.
