Markets Live: Woolies offsets miner gains

Shares are off to a disappointing start, falling despite Wall Street setting new records as gains in miners and energy stocks are offset by more falls in Woolworths and Wesfarmers. Western Sydney Wanderers owner Paul Lederer and private equity firm Affinity have sold ham, bacon and smallgoods producer Primo Smallgoods to Brazilian food giant JBS for $1.45 billion.
