Mass. pending home sales remain strong

According to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, prospective buyers and sellers reached agreement on 5,736 single-family homes last month, up 35.9 percent from the September 2014 total of 4,221. The higher demand has kept pricing firm, as the median price for homes under agreement last month was $341,250, up 5.1 percent from the year-ago median of $325,000.
