Massive soil-testing program targeted for Clarkdale

If requested, soil will be tested and possibly replaced in yards of more than 500 Clarkdale homes, businesses, parks and the grade school in the coming year. The testing is to determine if there are heavy metals in soil left from the smelter smoke that once blanketed the Upper Verde Valley.
