Job Description Are you a Mechanical Engineer with a keen interest in space exploration? We have an exciting opportunity to join our small, international, and enthusiastic team developing instrumentation for several space missions, including a Lunar lander. We are currently recruiting for a position beginning in the Fall of 2016 working at the Harwell campus, an innovative hub for science and technology advancement in the UK. Tasks Requirements definition and product design Manufacture, assembly, integration and test Responsible for Ground Support Equipment GSE Support subcontractor coordination Preparation of technical documentation including test procedures, design specifications and engineering change notices Required skills CAD ProE, SolidWorks, andor CATIA Structural and thermal analysis Experience with environmental testing Test specification, plan and procedure development Hands on Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Testing Able to independently apply engineering principles to complex projects relating to product or tool design Keen to solve complex challenges in a small team University degree in mechanicalaerospace engineering or equivalent Excellent oral and written communication Desired skills Matlab or Python C or C Familiarity with formal configuration control methods Experience working on militaryaerospace programs would be an asset Experience with ECSS standards Interest in space exploration
