Currently, we are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer who will work in Stevenage UK within Airbus UK premises. The engineer will act under the guidance of the Lead Mechanical Architect. The activities will be related to the Launcher mechanical environments, TED, Spacecraft Mass and Micro vibration. SPECIFIC TASKS Generation of test planning and requirements at spacecraft level for the SM and PFM mechanical tests, including build of detailed mechanical models, test predictions and model correlation. Technical support for the mechanical testing of the SM and PFM spacecraft and review of resultant test results with reassessment of structure design and analysis possible. Generation of related inputs into the Prime Engineering team for example MICD, EIDA, Operational inputs. Review of technical documentation from spacecraft subsystems and payload related to the spacecraft mechanical design Schedule and risk or opportunity inputs to the Prime team for the Mechanical design. Detailed Mechanical analysis, including the construction of the mechanical models. Generation of technical documentation related to the mechanical design, analysis and testing of the spacecraft. Supervision of drawings and manufacture of the mechanical components and interfaces with the spacecraft subsystems. Provide technical support for the mechanical testing of the SM and PFM spacecraft and review of resultant test results, including Support to the mechanical test and related reviews. Support to the Lead Mechanical Architect in the generation of spacecraft mechanical analysis documents. Preparation of inputs to the preparation of documents for the spacecraft PDR and CDR campaigns, including inputs the PDR and CDR mechanical analysis reports and Spacecraft design reports. Provision of inputs to the closure of spacecraft PDR and CDR RID actions. Provision of detailed mechanical analysis, including the construction of the Mechanical models, and review support to the Prime team, including Generation of related inputs into the Prime Engineering team for example MICD, TICD, Operational inputs. Maintenance of technical budgets related to the spacecraft Mechanical Design. Generation of planning documentation and support to AIT for payload alignment measurement and subsequent pointing budget assessment. Generation of Spacecraft Mass properties specification and Report including support of spacecraft mass properties measurement. REQUIREMENTS Degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering or equivalent qualification 7 years of experience in spacecraft mechanical design, analysis and budget maintenance, especially for nonterrestrial missions Experience with ESA project and familiarity with project documentation Experience in spacecraft mechanical testing Prior experience with space science missions is an asset Experience in subcontractors and supplier interaction and procurement management Deadline 20112019
