A Meijer executive's insistence on keeping a $20,000 donation of water filters to Flint anonymous wasn't out of the norm for the Midwest retailer. The family-owned company's approach to giving has always been to be low-key, Frank Guglielmi, Meijer's senior director of communications, told MLive and The Grand Rapids Press.
