Memphis Board Approves Airport Rental Car Facility Plans

Sept. 10--The Memphis Airport Authority got the unanimous backing Thursday of the Land Use Control Board to build a 48-acre rental car maintenance facility, but over the strong objections of some residential neighbors. The Memphis City Council still must approve the zoning change for the $30 million project born of the need to make other property available for the future expansions of FedEx.
