For one of our main customers ESAETEC, we are currently looking for a Metrology Technician, who will give support within ESAs Technical and Quality ManagementActivities. Tasks and Responsibilities The contractor shall provide support for Handling of the electronic equipment storage and, on request, delivery of electronic instruments to ESTEC users Organization and, when applicable, inloco performance of calibration maintenance and repair of electronic instruments Preparation of the documentation for the transport of instruments to be calibrated andor repaired by external contractors Maintenance and calibration of the inhouse standards for precision measurements of AC voltage, DC voltage, capacitance, frequency, RF power and attenuation Maintenance of the LEP Quality Management System and of the accreditation to ISO 17025. Support new scopes of accreditation for the laboratory equipment pool Perform electrical integration, electrical maintenance and electrical documentation tasks for the ESTEC Test Centre and the ESTEC laboratories Perform low voltage electrical safety inspection Administration of activities performed by an external contractor for the provision of calibration and repair services of electronic instruments. Experience and education Electrical Technician background and higher education degree from a high technical school HTS Fluent in English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Dutch would be an asset. A significant experience matured in electronic test laboratories and a good knowledge of engineering measurement methodologies is requested. Solid experience in the generation of electrical drawings using commercial software packages is required. Familiarity with implementation and management of databases is also necessary. Ability to work on a selfstanding base and provide flexibility and enthusiasm for the performed tasks. Focus on providing a continuous improvement of the working environment, effectively liaising with colleagues and keeping up to date in time and technical knowhow of the laboratory equipment tools. It would be an asset to have knowledge in the following areas ISO 17025 processes and accreditations Electrical cad software Electrical safety inspection Computer databases
