TLC NAND has made inroads into consumer devices and some data centers, but there is still plenty of room to improve MLC NAND: Micron recently introduced FortisFlash, aimed at balancing endurance and performance for enterprise storage systems. Micron's 20nm and 16nm FortisFlash devices come in standard BGA packages of 1 to 16 die stacks and were designed to have better endurance than standard MLC without the usage limitations of Enterprise MLC .
