(Telecompaper) Microsoft announced that it will launch Windows 10 in 190 countries in 111 languages this summer. At its Windows Hardware Engineering Community (WinHEC) summit in Shenzhen, the company also announced a number of partnerships aimed at increasing Windows licensing in China. It will work with Lenovo, Tencent and Qihu 360 to offer customers in China "easy and free" upgrades to Windows 10. At the summit Microsoft also show the new service Windows Hello for biometric authentication of a user's fingerprint, iris or face for access to a computer. This was demonstrated on a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 and will be available with automatic sign-in on all Windows 10 devices using the Intel RealSense Technology F200 sensor. Microsoft also announced a test programme with smartphone maker Xiaomi. A group of Xiaomi Mi 4 power users will be invited to help test Windows 10 and contribute to its future release later this year. They will have the opportunity to download the Windows 10 Technical Preview, install it and provide their feedback to Microsoft. Microsoft also introduced the Qualcomm DragonBoard 410C to the Windows 10 device family. It is the first Windows 10 developer board with integrated Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS and a smartphone-class Snapdragon 410 chipset.
