(Telecompaper) Microsoft reported revenue of USD 20.49 billion for its third fiscal quarter to 31 March, up 18 percent on USD 17.41 billion in the year-earlier period. Operating income grew by 19 percent to USD 7.61 billion from USD 6.37 billion. Net income reached USD 6.06 billion, compared with USD 5.11 billion a year earlier. EPS increased by 20 percent to USD 0.72 from USD 0.60. The group announced that its CFO, Peter Klein, will leave the company at the end of the fiscal year after nearly four years in the role and 11 years at the company. Microsoft will name a new CFO from its finance leadership team in the next several weeks.
