(Telecompaper) Luxembourg-based Millicom, which operates under the brand Tigo in Latin America and Africa, is considering the possibility of launching mobile telecommunications services in Mexico, reports local business daily El Economista. The operator is hoping to take advantage of the 2013 reform of the Telecoms Act, which sought to rein in the dominance of America Movil and offer a more favourable environment for foreign telcos such as AT&T and MVNOs such as Virgin Mobile.
