(Telecompaper) Mindspeed Technologies announced a definitive agreement to sell the assets of its wireless infrastructure business unit to Intel. The divestment is part of the agreed acquisition of Mindspeed by Macom, announced in early November. Intel said the acquisition will give it a wireless infrastructure team with deep experience in delivering signal processing-related technologies and IP for base stations. The transaction is expected to close in February 2014. No financial details were disclosed.
