Designed for high-speed optical encoders, linear positioning, optical switch, and critical sensing applications, 650 and 850 nm Point Source LED series are available in PLCC-4 and miniature ceramic packages. LED die and optical-grade glass lenses produce narrow, near parallel radiation pattern. Arrangement eliminates dark spot typically associated with center of LEDs. Through-hole package options include hermetically sealed TO-18 and TO-46 metal cans with various lensing options.
