HE Space is a successful international space company. For 30 years, we have been supporting our customers with qualified experts in the field of engineering, science and administration. We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Mission Planning Software Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. In this role you will have the following responsibilities Preventive and corrective maintenance including the investigation of anomalies Generation and analysis of userdriven and maintenance software requirements and following the procurement of the changes with the Contractor Generation and updates of maintenance test procedures at software facility level and at system level, development andor procurement of scripts tools to perform installation checks, nonregression, functional and performance testing Installation and testing of new software releases or patches preparation and participation to infactory at contractor premises acceptance testing campaigns Installation and testing of new releases Support to the internal endusers as well as oncall support to operations Generation and updates of technical documents including production of reports. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent Several years experience in satellite mission planning systems and operations Software development for Low Earth Orbiting Mission Planning systems and tools Management of Mission Planning application software maintenance and AIV C, C, Java, ILOG Views, Eclipse Rich Client Platform, UNIX and MS Windows Version Control Systems CVS and SVN MS Windows Office Suite applications, Documentation Management Systems Anomaly Report tracking and management tools Fluency in English is mandatory, knowledge of French would be an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from September 2013 or as soon as possible thereafter.
