Mobily suspends CEO after earnings restatement

(Telecompaper) Saudi operator Mobily has suspended CEO Khalid Al-Kaf until the audit committee completes its review of what led to the restatement of third-quarter earnings. Deputy CEO Serkan Okandan will run Mobily's operations in the meantime. Okandan was appointed in mid-October. Etisalat owns 27.5 per cent of Mobily and Okandan is also CFO of the UAE's operator.
