Nintendo's first-party line-up at E3 was the usual mix of Mario, Donkey Kong and Pikmin, but the one game which offered something different was a new RPG for Wii U from Monolith Soft - the same studio behind the well-received Wii exclusive Xenoblade Chronicles .
