Monsanto's Climate Corp. said Friday it would sell its crop insurance business to AmTrust North America, a subsidiary of AmTrust Financial Services Inc. The agreement provides AmTrust, a multinational insurance holding company based in New York, exclusive access to Climate Corp. technologies that can be applied in the crop insurance industry for up to three years, Climate Corp. said. Climate Corp. said its carrier, OneBeacon Insurance Group, would work to achieve a smooth transition for CCCIB's customers.
