Monterey County tourism nets $100 million in tax revenue

Monterey>> Monterey County tourism produced $100 million in local taxes in 2014, an increase of 6 percent over last year, according to a study released Wednesday. Roughly $2.6 billion was spent by tourists in the county last year, with Monterey getting the majority of the revenue.
