Mount Trashmore fined, ordered to reduce odors

The operator of the landfill that dominates the northern Broward County skyline has agreed to pay $1.6 million in fines, administrative charges and improvement costs to reduce the odor of decaying trash wafting over surrounding neighborhoods.
