We are currently looking for a MultiMission Software Librarian to support our customer in Germany. MultiMission Software Librarian Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will work in the TSS Technical and Scientific Support Departments GSI Generic Systems and Infrastructure Division, supporting all Ground Segment Commissioning and Routine Operations. These Ground Systems monitor and control MTP, MSG and METOP satellites and process and distribute all data from their instrument payloads. You will have the following responsibilities Maintenance and development of the asbuilt software build environments Building, packaging and distribution of software releases and patches Support to programmers with respect to software build and development strategies Support the delivery of software externally developed its installation, configuration and testing Investigation into anomalies, their documentation and classification follow up of the delivery of SW corrections Participation in technical meetings and formal reviews Analysis of the maintenance requirements and identification, procurement or implementation of the tools to fulfil them writing of maintenance procedures Interfacing with external contractors who are providing maintenance services for ground segment facilities. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in a relevant discipline Experience in SW development, configuration controlled software build environments, and experience in SW packaging, installation and configuration for the operation and maintenance of large, realtime Monitoring Control I Data Processing systems Essential knowledge and experience in using UnixLinux command line tools Software build environments and tools e.g. autoconfautomake, make, ANT, Maven Source Code control systems, preferably Subversion, CVS or ClearCase Experience with various software packaging formats RPM, PKG, LPP... Experience in unattended, centralized software installation mechanisms PXETFTP, NIM, AutoYast, kickstart etc. Scripting languages e.g. Shell, Perl, TclTk, Python Basic UNIX System Administration CIC programming languages Java programming language Change Management Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
