Apparel exports from Myanmar have continued surging in the past year, as a result of very low labor costs and a duty-free access to the European Union attracting Chinese investors. The current jump of the minimum wage should rapidly be offset by a significant increase of productivity levels at Burmese plants. Our statistical tables provide a comprehensive view of latest data, including export per destination in full 2017. Detailed EU and US import data per category of products over 2017 are also released.
