The P15.8-billion Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway project is facing more delays and is not likely to be completed during the scheduled Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation Leaders' Summit in November. A source from the Department of Public Works and Highways disclosed that the Public Private Partnership project awarded to San Miguel Corp. is in danger of missing its new completion date target due to the planned pedestrian overpass bridge of Resorts World Manila connecting to NAIA Terminal 3. The source said Vertex Tollways Development Inc. has raised the issue to DPWH Secretary Rogelio Singson citing the risk in the operation as well as the safety of the expressway.
