NAM Claims Open Internet will stifle manufacturing innovation.

According to National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) Senior Vice President of Policy and Government Relations Aric Newhouse, U.S. Federal Communications Commission's dedication to an open Internet threatens to "[stifle future investment in the communications infrastructure that has helped fuel manufacturing innovation." Newhouse, citing impositions of "80-year-old regulatory scheme," told regulators "to step aside and let the innovators lead" regarding manufacturing and the Internet.
