NASCAR has held awards ceremonies before at the ballroom adjacent to the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C. The organization just revealed that they will not be holding their season-ending awards ceremony at Trump National Doral Miami as planned because of pressure from their sponsors after Camping World CEO Marcus Lemonis vowed to boycott the banquet if it were held at a Trump property. "We were monitoring it closely and started looking at our own relationship with him and how it may have an impact, and ultimately made the decision it does not make sense to continue that," Higdon said of Trump.
