(Telecompaper) The Australian government company rolling out the National Broadband Network, NBN Co, will introduce a 1 Gbps wholesale service before the end of this year. Consumers will not need any additional NBN equipment in order to receive the new product. A 250/100 Mbps product will be sold to ISPs for AUD 70 per month (plus connectivity charges), a 500/200 Mbps product is priced at AUD 100, and a 1 Gbps/400 Mbps product costs 150 per month.
