That's what New Enterprise Associates general partner Harry Weller told me about the monster venture capital firm's general philosophy regarding the management of its giant funds. What he means by the Rubik's Cube comparison: The firm devotes certain portions of the fund to certain sectors, certain geographies, certain sized companies, as if each were along one axiom of the cube.
