NEMA commended administration for including FY2014 budget measures aimed at promotion of energy-efficiency efforts in public/private sectors. In particular, budget encourages States to cut energy waste with Race-to-the-Top challenge, enhances preparedness and resilience, and invests in repairing existing infrastructure and building infrastructure of tomorrow, including power grids that are resilient to extreme conditions.
