Having received approval from ANSI Executive Standards Council as Accredited Standards Committee (ASC), ASC 137 Lighting Systems Committee is allowed to write American National Standards within its scope. This entails development of standards and specifications for indoor and outdoor lighting systems installed in an application with consideration of human health and comfort, personal security, physical environment, energy consumption, and daylight integration.
