On behalf of American National Standard Lighting Group (ANSLG), NEMA published ANSI/ANSLG C78.43 American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Single-Ended Metal Halide Lamps. This standard, to ensure interchangeability and safety, poses physical and electrical requirements for single-ended metal halide lamps operated on 60 Hz ballasts.
