NEMA has published ANSI/NEMA WD 6-2012 Wiring Devices—Dimensional Specifications, which covers dimensional requirements for plugs and receptacles up to 60 A and 600 V. Substantive changes to current document include introduction of marking for automatically controlled receptacles adopted by NEMA and mandated by National Electrical Code®, and dimensions for single and dual 2 1/8 in. mounting plates.
