NEMA 250-2014 Enclosures for Electrical Equipment (1,000 V Max) covers requirements to provide protection to enclosed equipment against specific environmental conditions, and supplements requirements that are contained in individual product standards. NEMA 250 does not cover requirements for protection of enclosed equipment against condensation, icing, corrosion, or contamination, which may occur within enclosure or which may enter via conduit or unsealed openings.
