NEWS Rubbermaid looks for growth with Jarden acquisition

Newell Rubbermaid Inc. expects growth for its writing utensils business in Europe thanks to Jarden Corp.'s great exposure in the region. Newell Rubbermaid President and CEO Michael Polk said he sees "a number of intuitive combinations" in the planned merger, which was announced in December 2015.
