Discover magazine's 100 top stories of the year includes discovery of El Gordo, largest galaxy cluster ever found. Both discoveries were based on microwave data taken with Atacama Cosmology Telescope in Chile, which has camera made of superconducting sensors based on NIST design and superconducting amplifiers/electronics made at NIST.
