On April 22–23, NTSB will hold public form that will examine the safety issues associated with transportation of crude oil and ethanol by rail. Titled "Rail Safety: Transportation of Crude Oil and Ethanol," forum will explore DOT-111 tank car design, construction, and crash worthiness; rail operations and risk management strategies; emergency response challenges and best practices; and federal oversight.
