Corporation , the ICT solutions and international communications business within NTT , announced today that the Japan-U.S. capacity of its Tier-1 Global IP Network exceeded 1Tbps in September 2015, marking this the first time a Japan-U.S. network has reached that speed. The expanded capacity will allow the network to support demand that is expected to double over the next two years, driven by the rapidly growing number of internet users on smartphones and tablets and the growing adoption of broadband.
